Dr. Utkarsh Mishra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Delhi. He obtained his PhD in Physics from the prestigious Harish Chandra Research Institute and has since broadened his academic horizons with postdoctoral research at the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics in South Korea, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in Chengdu, and the University of Southern California in the USA.

Dr. Mishra’s research interests primarily focus on quantum information, quantum computing, and their intersections with many-body theory. His work explores the fundamental role of entanglement in quantum systems, particularly its connection to the physical properties of many-body quantum systems. His contributions in this area aim to advance our understanding of quantum phenomena and their practical applications in computing and information theory.

At the University of Delhi, Dr. Mishra is actively engaged in mentoring students and fostering research collaborations. He is currently inviting highly motivated candidates to apply for the DST Women Scientist, SERB-National Post-Doctoral Fellowship under his supervision. Interested applicants can reach out via email at umishra@physics.du.ac.in, including an updated CV for consideration.

Dr. Mishra also welcomes inquiries from students interested in pursuing a master's dissertation at the University of Delhi. For detailed eligibility criteria, prospective students are encouraged to consult the M.Sc. Physics program brochure. Additionally, candidates with a JRF or any national fellowship are invited to apply for the PhD program at Delhi University.

Further, there are opportunities for short-term research projects in collaboration with Prof. Konstantin E. Dorfman. MSc, PhD, and Postdoctoral fellows interested in these projects can contact Dr. Mishra with their updated CV for more information on availability and potential involvement.
